Exeter, NH

Making our home in Exeter, NH since 2006, Margaritas proudly serves this Southern NH town that is just 11 miles from Hampton Beach and a few miles from the headquarters for Timberland and Lindt Chocolate. Exeter, NH is also well known for its prestigious private high school, Phillips Exeter Academy and is within close proximity of the popular tourist destination of Portsmouth, NH.

Originally the home of the Squamscott Native Americans, a sub-tribe of the Pennacook nation, Exeter was eventually purchased by Reverend John Wheelwright, an English Puritan who had been exiled from Massachusetts for “sedition and contempt,” after fleeing England due to religious prosecution. Wheelwright established a centralized government and brought with him other puritan settlers. According to the Exeter Historical Society, Exeter is the only New Hampshire town to be “settled for reasons of religion.”

Throughout the year, Exeter puts on a number of events such as the Margaritas 5K Race, Get Fit in May, the UFO Festival and the Exeter Holiday Parade. During the summer months, you can find concerts in the park and the Exeter farmers’ market, which runs from May – October. So whether you are in town for one the many festivals, headed to a summer’s night concert or planning a day at the beach, be sure to stop in to Margaritas Exeter Mexican Restaurant for lunch or dinner. We won’t leave you hungry.
