East
Hartford’s newest landmark is magnificent!
Margaritas recently celebrated the opening of this beautiful
location in high style. A
striking orange roof in the style of Mexican terra-cotta tiles caps
the brightly colored yellow and blue exterior.
Out front, guests are greeted by large iron sculptures of
mariachi frogs and several beautiful oversized Mexican baskets.
The
dining room is a gallery of beautiful hand-made furniture, artwork
and décor. From the
custom carved chairs to the tile-top tables, everything about this
Margaritas is unique and colorful.
There’s a large, open room at the east side of the
restaurant, with smaller, cozier spaces off to the left.
Among the many points of
interest, there is a large display case exhibiting many wonderful
examples of folk art created
by the talented artists of our Education Outreach Program.
The center dining area is made up of several smaller rooms,
offering a range of different atmospheres to choose from.
Each area is filled with unique pottery vases and delicately
painted planters. Look
for the highly detailed, magnificently painted, carved table and
chairs.
There’s plenty of room to
wait for friends to arrive or just relax in our spacious waiting
area furnished with natural wood couches with hand-woven upholstery
and leather-topped end tables.
The lounge is warm and
inviting with a combination of tile-table
booths, high top tables and horseshoe booths alongside a very
spacious bar. Tables
are lit with jeweled star lights and clay lamps.
It’s a very inviting place to enjoy a well-made Margarita
or share dinner with family and friends.
The carvings, artwork, hand-built
furniture and tile all come directly from Mexico where it was picked
out
specifically for this beautiful location.
Two 53-foot tractor-trailer loads of art and furniture fill
the East Hartford restaurant, including hundreds of boxes of tile.
Our own construction/design crew created the entire look of
the restaurant and produced every tile table by hand on site.
Located
right off I-84 in East Hartford, the restaurant is minutes
from downtown Hartford, Manchester, Glastonbury, and Windsor, and
accessible to I-91, Rt. 2, Rt. 9 as well as I-84.
It’s a
perfect gathering place for Hartford professionals, community
members, vacationers and College students.
Pratt & Whitney is a short distance away in-town,
with United technologies just up the Connecticut River.
Margaritas is located close to Adrian’s Landing and several
riverfront parks. It also boasts quick access to The Bushnell,
Hartford Stage, TheaterWorks, and The Meadows Music Theater.
It’s right around the corner from Rentschler Field, The University of
Connecticut’s new 40,000-seat football stadium, home of the
Huskies. Stop by on your
way to one of the many area venues, or simply make the journey just
to spend an evening with us. Either
way, your experience with us will be “Mex to the Max!”
